Position Summary
The Facility Storekeeper and Document Controller performs duties to support receiving and shipping, deliveries, coordinating facility maintenance stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records and tracking documents/contract, and overseeing storage of surplus or expired inventory and property for the Hospital/Facility. |
Summary of Main Duties
- Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital – Sharjah (UHS)
- Complies with all UHS policies and procedures and fire regulations
- Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist UHS attain and maintain international accreditation standards
- Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages/expiries and discrepancies on orders received.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure supplies are properly rotated.
- Place orders for supplies and materials as needed, ensuring no shortages or disruptions to hospital maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stores documents, contracts and confidential files; maintains record of approved document and confidential file destruction.
- Maintains the facility store warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Ensure that all received supplies are logged into the system and stored in the correct locations.
- Ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking and document management
- Prepare inventory reports for hospital management to track supply consumption and expenditure.

Position Requirements/Qualifications
- College Graduate
- Minimum 5 years of Experience in a Hospital especially in Facility Management.
Computer literate

Familiar with modern warehouse procedures, facility maintenance materials including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems
