Position Summary

Managing and supporting all IT systems and assets within the corporate office and data centre. In addition, the IT Deputy Manager will act as a project manager and systems architect in working on strategy and improving of the environment.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Systems Administration, implementation, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior staff. This position requires a great deal of independent problem solving and an understanding of in-house tools and technologies.

Summary of Main Duties

  • Recommending space, equipment, technology, and other resources to hospital leadership to support information technology systems in the hospital.
  • Coordinating and conducting risk assessment activities to assess information security risks, prioritize risks, and identify improvement.
  • Ensuring that staff and others are educated and trained on information security and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Identifying metrics to assess how systems, such as the electronic medical record system, are functioning and affecting staff and patients.
  • Support all aspects of a datacenter, which include servers, infrastructure, SAN Storage, Tape Libraries, Enterprise Backup Solutions, VMWare, Networking, Windows Server, Redhat Enterprise Server, Active directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows & Redhat Based print servers, Windows & Redhat failover / load balancing clusters, Cache & Microsoft SQL Server databases, Microsoft Exchange Email system, S4HANA basis and all softwares related to this.

Responsibilities

  • Leads technical teams and is responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of the company Information Technology virtualization infrastructure, servers, hardware, networking, security and applications.
  • IT Deputy Manager is responsible for overseeing both the technical and managerial aspects of their organization's IT department.
  • IT Deputy Manager's job is making sure that all relevant data is properly collected and stored. This can include performance metrics, service levels, server status and both planned and unplanned system outages. Depending on their company's protocol, the IT Deputy Manager will need to deliver the data they have collected to higher-level employees on a regular daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • The Deputy Manager works alongside the service desk, security, development, and project managers to deliver IT services to the organization.
  • The Deputy Manager is responsible for establishing strong partnerships with those vendors to set clear expectations. This includes negotiating access agreements, establishing service level agreements, and ensuring contracts are in place to support the services provided by the infrastructure team.
  • IT Deputy Manager is to ensure that standards and procedures are in place for the work of his or her team.
  • The IT Deputy Manager must be aware of the strategic direction as well as new technologies on the horizon.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with superior communication skills.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

  • UAE NATIONAL
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or an equivalent major
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven experience in large organizations as IT Deputy Manager, preferably in hospital or health care sector.
  • Significant knowledge in security applications.
    Have strong experience in latest Windows Server, Exchange Server VMWare, Servers, Storage, Network and Security.
  • Have strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SuSe Enterprise Linux.
  • Have strong technical experience in Healthcare (TrakCare) and ERP (S4HANA) applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS SQL, Cache database, HIS applications, Active directory, Exchange 2016, backup libraries, antivirus servers, and servers.
  • Must be outgoing, organized, dependable and able to interact with other IT team effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of server and operating system
    configuration and implementation including hardware, software, clustering and high availability, RAID, SCSI and other storage technologies.

Position criteria Other Skills/Abilities

  • Highly preferable to have experience in Red Hat powering Cache database, SuSe Enterprise Linux, S4HANA and or MS Server powering MS SQL database.
  • Healthcare/hospital experience preferred.
  • A professional Red Hat, SuSe Linux and or MS Servers certificate/s is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge on networking and security principles
  • Strong knowledge on various desktop system technologies
